The decision - making of families caring for a senior member before and during the COVID19 pandemic

The diploma thesis topic is the decision-making of families regarding the care of their relatives in the elderly before and during the COVID-19 pandemic. The work aims to find out and describe the reasons of caregivers which led to the choice of a specific type of care for their relatives before and during the pandemic, through retrospective interviews with family members of seniors. At the same time, to reflect with the respondents on the changes they had to deal with during the pandemic in relation to the care of the elderly. The work is divided into the theoretical and methodological part. The theoretical part is divided into three main chapters and primarily focuses on the general characteristics of care for the elderly, the definition of key needs of seniors, and the impact of the pandemic on the lives of seniors and carers. Due to the focus of the diploma thesis, he also deals with the typology of family caregivers. The aim of this part was to define the typology of families, with which I further worked in the methodological part. The last chapter describes pandemic's impact on seniors' lives, taking into account the problems related to their care. Information and Communication Technologies in Social and Healthcare Services

The thesis discusses how information and communication technologies (ICT or IT), nowadays transforms the form of health and social services. The specific arguments and social events are described, that leads today's health and social services closer to the use of ICT, influence and changes it. The work describes the latest trends linking ICT and social and health services in the areas of e-health, telemedicine, mobile health and assistive technologies. Specific tools and equipment and their practical use are presented. The practical part focuses on the introduction of specific- gadgets tablet care in caring for the elderly. Through direct interviews with caregivers and seniors is investigated how new technology is perceived by caregivers and seniors, how new technology equipment to care are introduced, and what positive and negative impact are the ICT has for facilities and the elderly. Marketing plan of developing nursing service Doksy

The diploma thesis follows up the treatment of marketing plan in area of concrete home care service development. The purpose of the thesis enlarges field home care service by the development of appropriately chosen marketing plan. The first, theoretical, part of thesis explains marketing including related terms, and it analyzes strategic management and the concept of strategic analysis. It describes a law about the social services and the principles of senior care in real surroundings in case of the demographics. The practical part has been articulated for the research chapter, including marketing research between home care service consumers/clients, and the analytical chapter. The result of marketing strategic analysis. On the base of detected documents was developed the marketing plan, which is covering appropriate marketing mix for development concrete field home care services. In conclusion there are valorized objectives of marketing plan realization, and there are another recommendations, whose contribute for enlarge of services and the success of the organization at the market. Social - Psychological Aspects of Old Age

The work deals with the social-psychological aspects of old age. The first part characterises these basic terms : old age, the needs of elderly people and different types of senior care. In the part {\clqq} Illnesses of elderly people`` it deals with the most common illnesses and their effects on the social {--} psychological life of elderly people. It describes the separate views of society on old age and the influence of illnesses on elderly people. It goes on to describe the violence commited against senior citizens and the need they have good social relationships (family, friends).It also suggets different leisure time activities and ways for the elderly to utilize their time. In the next part there are different examples from various senior citizens in which they tell the story of their life, about their joys and problems. The practical part includes the research about the common life of elderly, which we can see every day. I have seen both positive and negative things, which come with old age. There I compare the leisure time activities of elderly men and elderly women.
